AVON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Avon Police say first responders in town and from neighboring towns rescued a young adult woman who had fallen off a rock ledge late Saturday night.
A man called police to report he had been walking with her around 11:50 p.m. Saturday night when the two became disoriented on a path near Brian Lane.
They were trying to find their way home when the girl lost control and fell down the rocky ledge on the side of the path.
First responders found the 18-year-old woman unconscious with significant but non-life-threatening injuries.
Life Star had been called but cancelled.
The teen was brought out of the wooded area and was given medical attention before she was taken to a local hospital.
It is believed the incident was an accidental fall with no suspicious circumstances.
