Naugatuck, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Naugatuck High School was placed in lockdown earlier today.
Police said just before 2:00 p.m., they received word that a student had reported seeing a gun in a backpack.
Officers say they conducted a through investigation which included a sweep of the campus and interviews, along with the use of a police canine.
No firearm was recovered, police said.
Students were ultimately dismissed, no injuries were reported, and there were no arrests.
