MIDDLEFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - An investigation into a deadly two vehicle crash in Middlefield on Saturday is underway.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash on Route 66 by the Baileyville Road intersection, reported at 11:56 p.m. Friday.
Middlefield Fire reports one of the vehicles had rolled over and that there was a fire in the engine compartment.
The occupant of a second vehicle involved sustained serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.
