Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Connecticut's chief operating officer will be moving on in the new year.
Anthony Anthony says he's leaving to pursue "a new professional opportunity."
It was under his stewardship that Anthony moved to rebrand the state from "boring, small expensive" to one rooted in cultural identity and history.
Governor Lamont says Anthony pushed business recruitment, resident pride, and innovation.
Anthony was also behind the move to bill Connecticut as the so-called Pizza Capital of the United States.
Anthony says he'll depart state service effective February 6.
