Two dead, others injured in several Hartford shootings

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) Two people are dead and several other people are injured after a series of shootings this weekend in Hartford.

The most recent shooting happened around 9 p.m. Sunday night. Two men were shot. Dwight Watson, 43, was found injured in the 130 block of Brook Street. He later died at a local hospital. A second man, who was injured at the same crime scene, went to a local hospital on his own for treatment.

The other deadly shooting over the weekend happened around 11:50 p.m. Saturday night into Sunday. Isaiah Ahkeen-Molina, 20, was shot at the People's Ballroom on Main Street. He died at a local hospital.

The other shootings injured several people.

One was reported around 3:30 p.m. Sunday at an unknown location. Hartford Police say the victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury from a "firearm assault."

Another shooting was reported around 5 p.m. Sunday. A man arrived at a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to an outer extremity. Police haven't determined where that shooting took place.

All these shootings are under investigation.

There's no word of any suspects or arrests.
