Bill McDermott, a soccer analyst and longtime friend of The Mark Reardon Show, has a very personal relationship with SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
McDermott’s twin daughters, Mary and Colleen, were born three months early. His daughter Mary faced the biggest challenges from the start.
“Mary, throughout her entire youth was cared for by the doctors and nurses at Cardinal Glennon.”
McDermott explains that the caring nature of the team at Carinal Glennon extends past the patients.
“Cardinal Glennon, obviously because of their expertise, takes care of your children. However, they also take care of the family,” says McDermott.
Sadly, Mary passed away on December 21, 2008.
“We were tremendously fortunate to be able to have 24 years with her simply because, and solely because, the doctors and nurses at Cardinal Glennon.”
