Cal Quantrill made his major league debut and pitched well, but was unable to get the win. The Padres had a chance in the top of the 8th inning with the bases loaded down 5-1, but were unable to score any runs. That would be all in Atlanta as they drop this one 5-1. They look to split the series with Matt Strahm taking the mound for the Padres Thursday morning.
