Young catcher Francisco Mejia has hit a bit of a rough patch, but has really come into his own as he tries to claim the team's starting catcher position. Since the All-Star break, Mejia's slash line is .303/.356/.514. Mejia has hit 6 of his 8 home runs since the All-Star break, adding on 3 doubles and a triple, to go along with 14 of his 20 RBIs. With Austin Hedges still scuffling offensively, Francisco Mejia may be proving he's the Padres' catcher of the future.
