The Navy’s Officer Candidate School, located in Newport, Rhode Island, is a grueling 13 week long program that puts its students to the test morally, mentally, and physically. Hometown Hero Officer Candidate Harald Zur Nieden, a San Diego native and 2012 and 2020 graduate of High Tech High School and the University of California San Diego, tells us about his experiences so far and his desire to go into aviation.
