Tom Brady made a big deal about how much he wanted to spend time with his family, but after being retired for a few weeks he decided he really wanted to be back in football.
What changed? Who really knows.

Either way, it was a quick pivot, one that Brady had been laying the groundwork for pretty much since he had made the decision to call it a career over the winter.
Mike Vrabel, who played with Brady on the New England Patriots, is close friends with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback. And during an appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show,” the Titans head coach revealed what he said to Brady after hearing he was unretiring.
“Yeah, I talked to him,” Vrabel said. “I said, ‘You took the kids to a soccer game, you went to the beach and you went skiing and you were like, ‘Yeah, I’ve had enough of these guys, I’m going back to work.’”
It’s not clear if this is a one-and-done thing for Brady. In the event it isn’t, it sounds like the Miami Dolphins could be willing to welcome him next offseason.
Until then, he’ll be fighting off the theories that he pushed Bruce Arians out the door as head coach of the Bucs.
