Based on the latest news, rookie quarterback Jake Fromm might have to delay his "dream come true." Though he had been taking more reps than he's gotten in a while throughout the past week of practice, with Daniel Jones sidelined and Mike Glennon working through concussion protocol, it sounds as though he'll be taking the backseat once again in Week 14.

The latest from Giants head coach Joe Judge is that Glennon is "on track" to clear concussion protocol, making him available to start on Sunday when the Giants head to Los Angeles and take on the Chargers (via Ari Meirov). Fromm would then fulfill the backup responsibilities behind Glennon.

That's not to say Fromm might not get a chance to take the field. With all the reps that he had, if the game isn't close, Fromm's NFL debut might not be too far away. After all, Glennon hasn't been particularly impressive in his small sample size this season, with a 1:3 touchdown-to-interception ratio and a 56.5 completion percentage.

Fromm, on the other hand, was just signed by the Giants on the first of December, coming to New York from the Buffalo Bills, who drafted him with the No. 167 overall pick of the 2020 draft.

Judge also addressed the late Demaryius Thomas, the former Pro Bowl wide receiver who passed away at age 33 and had briefly spent time with the Patriots while Judge was there.
