A self-described "OG Knicks fan" was apparently ejected from Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night for wearing an "offensive" shirt.

The blue t-shirt in question was a rendering of the Knicks' logo, with the words "Ban Dolan" written across the chest.

A video showing parts of an interaction with two Garden security officers was published on Twitter by a user claiming to be the ejected spectator.

The awkward but cordial interaction begins with the fan telling the officers it's his birthday, and they respond with well wishes. One of the officers then informs the fan that his shirt contains "offensive information," and offers him a free shirt to cover up.

The fan "politely refused," he claimed on Twitter, and was then escorted out.

"Just got kicked & escorted out of the Knicks game @TheGarden for wearing a t-shirt .. that apparently James Dolan didn't like?!" the user wrote. "These tickets were too expensive fam to just get bounced 5 mins into the game with no refund?! How does this work @NBA ?!"

An MSG spokesperson seemed to stand by the decision in a statement to the New York Post. It was unclear how the fan's shirt came to the officers' attention.

The incident is the latest in a series of similar such incidents at the Garden in recent years. Fans have been tossed for heckling Dolan and Knicks brass with chants, signs and shirts.

Knicks legend Patrick Ewing, now the head coach of Georgetown, took exception when he said Garden security officers didn't appear to recognize him during the Hoyas' run at MSG throughout the Big East Tournament.

Knicks great Charles Oakley was ejected by Garden security during a 2017 incident, while celebrity fan Spike Lee recently returned to his usual courtside seats after an apparent falling out with Dolan last year.

Fans were permitted back at Knicks and Nets games, at 10% percent capacity, late last month.
