The Padres lost 4-3 on Caleb Durbin's walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the 9th inning on Saturday afternoon, after a dramatic comeback of their own in the top of the 9th. The Padres led 1-0 for most of the game thanks to Elias Diaz's RBI-single in the 4th inning. Jeremiah Estrada was called on to protect a one-run lead in the 7th inning, but wasn't able to do so. After getting Rhys Hoskins to fly out, Estrada allowed back-to-back singles, before Jake Bauers plated the game-tying run with a sacrifice fly to center field. Jason Adam's struggles continued, as he loaded the bases in the 8th inning, and allowed two runs to score on a sac-fly from Hoskins and a single to Isaac Collins with two men aboard. The Padres rallied to tie the game in the top of the 9th, with Luis Arraez roping a 2-run game-tying double down the left field line. David Morgan entered in the bottom of the 9th with the score tied, and surrendered a walk-off home run to the first batter he faced in Caleb Durbin. Ryan Bergert will square off against Freddy Peralta on Sunday morning.
