Padres All-Star reliever Jason Adam ruptured his quad tendon while fielding a ball on Monday, and will miss the rest of the season. Adam met with the media prior to Tuesday's game, and confirmed the diagnosis via MRI. He believes he'll be ready to begin next season with a recovery timeline of 6 to 9 months.
