According to the MLBPA, both Jurickson Profar and Robert Suarez have opted out of the final year of their contracts, and will be unrestricted free agents. Profar was the Padres near-everyday left fielder, starting 152 games with a slash line of .243/.331/.391 to go along with 15 home runs and 58 RBIs. Profar posted a career-high with 3.1 WAR.

Suarez, the 31 year old flamethrower, pitched his first season in MLB, and struck out 61 batters in 47.2 innings pitched with a 2.27 ERA and 1.05 WHIP en route to becoming one of Bob Melvin's most trusted high-leverage bullpen arms.
