The Padres lost to the Mariners 4-1 on Tuesday night, despite a strong start from Joe Musgrove, who allowed just 1 run and struck out 8 over 5 innings. After Ty France's RBI-single gave the Mariners a 1-0 lead in the 3rd inning, Fernando Tatis Jr. responded with an RBI-groundout in the bottom of the 3rd to even the score. Teoscar Hernandez took Brent Honeywell deep with a solo blast to center field in the 6th inning, and the Mariners added two more runs in the 8th inning off of Steven Wilson on a solo homer from Julio Rodriguez and an RBI-single by Teoscar Hernandez.
