The Padres beat the Rockies 13-6 on Sunday, taking 2 of 3 from their divisional rival and reducing their magic number to 6. The Padres will gladly take the 2 wins considering their struggles at Coors Field. Mike Clevinger didn't have his best stuff, but the offense picked up the slack, scoring 13 runs on 17 hits. Manny Machado, Wil Myers and Brandon Drury all went deep, as the Padres took advantage of the thin Colorado air. The Padres will enjoy a day off on Monday before the Dodgers come to Petco Park for a 3-game series.
