The Padres lost to the Dodgers 8-3 on Saturday night, their second loss in a row to their bitter division rival. After 3 consecutive quality starts, Mike Clevinger struggled mightily, allowing 5 earned runs on 7 hits in just 4.2 innings pitched. The Padres trailed 2-0 entering the 4th inning, but were able to score 3 runs, taking the lead on an RBI-single from Wil Myers. Max Muncy's 3-run homer in the bottom of the 5th was a dagger, and ultimately proved to be the difference in the game. The Padres will look to avoid being swept by winning the final game of the series on Sunday at 4:08.
