The Padres lost to the Rockies 4-1 on Friday night, again digging themselves a hole in the 1st inning. After retiring the first batter of the game, the next three hitters reached base in the 1st for Colorado. A fielder's choice followed by a single would plate 2 runs. Charlie Blackmon continued to terrorize the Padres, tacking on a 2-run homer in the 5th inning to make it a 4-0 game. Xander Bogaerts drove in the Padres lone run with a sac-fly in the 8th, as San Diego's offense continued to scuffle. Nick Martinez was able to pitch 7 innings, but wasn't given any run support.
