The Padres lost 3-0 to the Blue Jays on Tuesday afternoon in a game that didn't feature much offense, with the two teams combining for just 8 total hits. Dylan Cease was fantastic, completing 7 innings and earning a quality start, but he made two mistakes unfortunately, as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a solo home run in the 1st inning and Anthony Santander hit a 2-run homer in the 5th inning. Toronto tallied just 3 total hits in the game, but made the most of them with two long balls. The Padres only got 5 base hits, with 4 of them being singles and the lone extra base hit being a double by Luis Arraez. The Padres will try to break out of their offensive slump on Wednesday when they face Kevin Gausman.
