The Padres swept the Diamondbacks in their 3-game series thanks to a 10-4 win on Wednesday, the team's third straight win without Manny Machado. Mike Clevinger pitched well, allowing just 1 run over 4 innings, but the offense stole the show, scoring 10 runs on 16 hits. Jorge Alfaro continued to hit well, homering in back-to-back games as he drew the start at DH. Jurickson Profar collected 4 hits while Jose Azocar was a home run shy of the cycle. It was the type of offensive performance that should give Padres fans optimism as the team awaits the return of Manny Machado. The Padres now welcome the Phillies to town for a 4-game series.
