Randy Vasquez turned in another productive outing for the Padres on Friday night, allowing just one earned run through 5 innings. The Padres held a 2-1 lead thanks to solo home runs from Manny Machado and Donovan Solano in the 6th inning, when Jeremiah Estrada entered the game. The flamethrower struggled mightily, walking the first two batters he faced, before allowing an infield single to Brendan Rodgers to load the bases with no outs. Kris Bryant's 2-run bloop single gave the Rockies a 3-2 lead, before Jake Cave drove in another run. Estrada was charged with 3 earned runs and recorded just 2 outs. Martin Perez will make his Padres debut on Saturday.
