San Diego State followed up their big win over #6 Houston with a dominant 84-62 win over Fresno State in their first game since entering the AP Top 25. Magoon Gwath led the way for the Aztecs with a season-high 25 points, to go with 10 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. Wayne McKinney poured in 12 points off the bench on an efficient shooting night, going 5 of 7 from the field. SDSU held a 5 point lead at the half, but exploded in the second half, outscoring the Bulldogs 55-38. Brian Dutcher's defense suffocated Fresno State, holding them to just 27.3% shooting from the field, while outrebounding them 53-39. All in all, it was the type of performance that should give Aztecs fans confidence after their struggles in 2023 after entering the polls. Next up for the Aztecs is a matchup against USD on Saturday night.
