San Diego State quarterback Will Haskell had ascended to the team's backup role, and entered Saturday's game against Utah after starter Braxton Burmeister exited the game because he was poked in the eye and had blurry vision. After playing just one drive, Haskell was replaced by Kyle Crum. Hoke said after the game that the coaching staff had determined that Crum gave the team a better chance to win. After speculation that Haskell could choose to transfer due to Saturday's circumstances, head coach Brady Hoke discussed his quarterback situation, Haskell's status with the team and if Burmeister will remain the team's starting quarterback. You can watch Hoke's comments below.
