San Diego State defeated Yale 85-57 in a game that was never in doubt, advancing to the Sweet 16 for the second consecutive season and a rematch of last year's national title game against UConn. Jaedon LeDee had another big game, scoring 26 points on 9 of 12 shooting, including 2-2 from downtown, and Darrion Trammell chipped in with 18 points of his own.
San Diego State played perhaps its best game of the season, excelling at both ends of the floor. The Aztecs shot 52.7% from the floor, including 48.1% from beyond the arc, while limiting the Bulldogs to 37% shooting from the field. San Diego State also had more rebounds, assists, blocks and fast break points than Yale, building a 31-point lead at one point. The Aztecs will now look to avenge last year's loss to UConn in the national championship game.
