The 18th ranked Aztecs saw their 6-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday night, losing on the road at Boise State 66-60 in the penultimate game of the regular season. San Diego State had an opportunity to clinch the Mountain West Conference regular season title outright with a win, but fell short.
Matt Bradley and Micah Parrish were the only Aztecs to score in double figures, and even Bradley struggled from the field, shooting just 6-15 despite leading the way with 16 points. SDSU took a 3-point lead into halftime with their eyes set on the regular season conference title, but Boise State came out of the half motivated, outscoring the Aztecs by 9 points after the break. In fact, the bulk of that scoring came in the final 5 minutes of the game. The Aztecs held a 60-52 lead with 4:48 to play, and wouldn't score again for the rest of the game, as the Broncos ended the game on a 14-0 run to earn the win. San Diego State will have one more chance to wrap up the regular season title in their final game of the regular season at home against Wyoming on Saturday night.
