The wait is now over, and both San Diego State and UC-San Diego's men's teams made the field for the NCAA Tournament. SDSU made it into the First Four as an 11 seed, where they will play UNC in the on Wednesday. If the Aztecs win, they'll advance to play 6th seeded Ole Miss in Milwaukee. This will be the Aztecs' fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth.
UCSD on the other hand made it into the full bracket after winning the Big West Conference Tournament, and earning an automatic bid. The Tritons earned a 12 seed, and will play 5th seeded Michigan on Thursday in Denver. It was the UCSD's first year of eligibility since moving up from Division II to Division I.
