SDSU lands two quarterbacks

New Aztecs head coach Sean Lewis has landed a commitment at the most important position, as QB Danny O'Neil from Indianapolis announced his commitment to SDSU on Wednesday. According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, O'Neil visited campus over the weekend, with Northwestern and Miami also being finalists. The 6'1 185-pound dual-threat QB is the 34th ranked high school quarterback prospect according to 247Sports.com. O'Neil made his announcement on X:

On Thursday afternoon, former Florida State quarterback AJ Duffy announced that he would be transferring to San Diego State via the transfer portal. Duffy is a redshirt freshman who completed 2 of 7 pass attempts for 26 yards and a touchdown in 2022, but attempted no passes in 2023.
