SDFC earned one of their best wins of the season, scoring 3 unanswered goals to beat Minnesota 4-2 on Saturday night. Minnesota took a 1-0 lead in the 8th minute of the match on an own goal when Christopher McVey's pass back to CJ dos Santos bounced over his foot. Just three minutes later, Anders Dreyer tied the match on an outrageous goal from just over the midfield line that went over the goalie's head. Kelvin Yeboah put Minnesota back on top, with a rebound putback in the 38th minute.

SDFC trailed 2-1 until Anders Dreyer tied the match in the 66th minute on a penalty kick after a hand ball was called inside the box. In the 75th minute, Dreyer placed a pass into the box that Milan Iloski headed into the back of the net to give SDFC their first lead of the match. Iloski would score his second goal of the match on a breakaway in the 92nd minute to seal a 4-2 win for San Diego. With the 3 points earned from Saturday's win, SDFC moved into 2nd place in the west. Their next match is Wednesday the 25th at Vancouver.
