Spike Lee knows a thing or two about photography and finding the right shot, so it was no surprise that the famous director was going to great lengths to find the perfect shot of Steph Curry after his historic night at Madison Square Garden.
After Curry passed Ray Allen to set the record for career 3-pointers made Tuesday night against the Knicks, Lee, a die-hard Knicks fan, made his way onto the Garden floor to get an up-close shot of the Warriors star.

As Curry was conducting a postgame interview with TNT, Lee was in the background on the floor snapping pics of the new 3-point king.

Lee also snapped a pic of Curry with the other 3-point leaders, Ray Allen and Reggie Miller, both of whom presented Curry with a custom-made Warriors jersey with the number 2,974 — the record-setting mark.
Curry set the record early in the first quarter with seven minutes and 33 seconds remaining on a pass received from Andrew Wiggins.
The Warriors called a timeout after the basket so the moment could be celebrated.
Curry embraced his dad, Dell, and found his mother, Sonya, in the crowd to share the special moment with them. He also found Allen and shared a hug with the man he passed.
