An Amish family shopping at a Walmart in Michigan exited the store to discover that someone had stolen their horse and buggy right from the parking lot.
An official statement from the Sturgis police department read, “The victims had gone shopping at Walmart and came out to find their horse and buggy stolen.
“A truck driver, parked in the Walmart lot, had seen a female steal the buggy…Police had contact with the suspect earlier in the day at Walmart.”
According to the NY Post, it is unclear what kind of previous contact the police had with the suspect, though police found the horse and buddy later in the evening and arrested the 31-year-old.
She is now facing charges of larceny and larceny of livestock.
