A lot has been said of the culinary experience in the UK.  We’re not saying it’s bad, but alongside mushy peas we question just what is going on in kitchens across the pond.

A snack company from the UK called Rewind just unveiled their latest creation: battery-flavored tortilla chips.

The company says they were trying to blend “nostalgia with exciting flavors,” and perhaps drew inspiration from all the teens who used to lick 9-volt batteries for that quick electric jolt.

Those were also the kids that would eat the macaroni pieces smothered in glue that were meant for that piece of construction paper, not consumption.

According to The Verge, the chips had a taste of “baking soda and citric acid.”

We’ll have to take their word for it and just stick with our chips having a taste of being smothered in queso.
