All of the passengers on an American Airlines flight that was taxiing in El Paso before heading to Chicago were forced off the plane for an emergency search after a high school student’s prank turned very, very wrong.

The student, from Pennsylvania, thought it would be a good idea to AirDrop a BOMB THREAT onto the phone of every passenger on the plane!

Per Fox News, the message read: “I have a bomb. Would like to share a photo.”

After everyone was forced off the plane, members of the FBI West Texas Joint Terrorism Task Force conducted a thorough search and discovered nothing on board and deemed the threat “non-credible.”

Authorities say the teen confessed to the prank, and the juvenile is currently in custody with El Paso Juvenile Probation Department.

The student faces one count of creating a false report or alarm, which is a felony in Texas.
