Actor and comedian Richard Belzer passed away over the weekend at his house in France at the age of 78.
Though no official cause of death has been given, according to the Hollywood Reporter Belzer had been suffering from "lots of health issues" before his death.
Ever the jokester, Belzer's last words were reportedly, "[Eff] You, Mother[effer]!"
There's one incident, however, where Belzer was not joking.
In 1985, Belzer was hosting a talk show on Lifetime called Hot Properties, and one episode he welcomed Hulk Hogan and Mr. T who were promoting the first Wrestlemania event.
Well, Hogan wanted to demonstrate a proper chokehold, and put Belzer in one…a REAL one.
Hogan actually choked Belzer out! He went limp, fell, and cracked his head on the floor which drew blood!
Belzer ending up suing Hogan, Mr. T, and the World Wrestling Federation for $5 million and settled for $400,000m which he used as a down payment on that house in France!
