Billionaire moviemaker Tyler Perry isn’t above firing a relative if they don’t show up to work.
He revealed on the YouTube series Den of Kings that he once fired his aunt from a job he gave her because she simply didn’t show up to work.
Perry said that she would often call him to ask for money, until one day he decided to give her a job so she could earn it herself.
Unfortunately for her, and for him, she would constantly call in sick, which forced his hand. Perry recalled telling her, “Well, you gotta go, because you want me to hand you the money, but you don’t want to work for it. See, that doesn’t work for me.”
Perry also admitted that he has a similar mindset with his ten-year-old son, Aman.
“I don’t believe in giving us things that are just going to handicap us,” he said. “That is the worst thing you can do.”
