Kylie Jenner has recently caught a lot of flack for only donating $5,000 to cover the medical costs of a former makeup artist of hers who was in a serious car accident that resulted in brain trauma.
Jenner faced backlash for only donating $5,000, and opting to promote the GoFundMe on her Instagram because with a net worth neat $1 billion, she could have easily covered all of the costs.
Well, the 23-year-old Jenner has defended her reasoning for not covering all of the costs, saying that she and the makeup artist, Samuel Rauda, did not have a personal relationship, and because the GoFundMe had an original goal of $10k, and was already at $6k, she'd donate to put it over the top.
According to Just Jared, Sam's family reached out to Kylie where they told her, "I don’t know how all of this got so twisted but his family has reached out through Ariel (a mutual makeup artist and friend) and are very appreciative of all the donations, prayers, and love towards Sam."
