As soon as it appeared, it was gone. We're taking about the world's smallest Buc-ee's, which set up shop about halfway between Sanderson and Marathon, TX.
Though it sold no jerky nor Beaver Nuggets, it was still a fun site to see while traveling west on Highway 90.
Why it went away, we have no idea. But fear not fans of the beaver, it is BACK!
It first popped up in April 2022, just to disappear a few days later. However, the world's smallest Buc-ee's made its triumphant return to Highway 90, as reported by The Midland-Reporter Telegram!
Fans hopefully won't have to worry about the Buc-ee's being removed again, as its now accompanied by a historical marker that reads:
Originally established April 1st, 2022, This Buc-eess location served the area faithly despite its lack of operating hours, bathrooms, employees or a home decor section. It was an important content stop for weary Instagram Influencers and other travelers on the famous Marfa trail.
A shift to e-commerce, rising gas prices, and a worldwide Beaver Nugget shortage forced the location to close on April 4, 2022. In 2023, a replica of the original Tiny Buc-ee's was built on the site. To this day it continues to draw crowds and litigation.
