Even a show about nothing runs its course.

And when that moment comes, sometimes the cast just knows, according to Jerry Seinfeld.

In a recent press conference, the “Seinfeld” creator revealed the moment when he and the main cast of his hit comedy sitcom knew it was time to hang up their hats, reports Fox News.

It all started in a pow-wow in his dressing room, explained Seinfeld, 67.

“I remember when I was in the ninth season and I was thinking maybe it's time to wrap this up, and I remember inviting Michael [Richards] and Julia [Louis-Dreyfous] and Jason [Alexander] to my dressing room and we all just sat there and we stared at each other,” the comedian said.

They didn’t talk about nothing. What followed an important yet simple convo about the state of the show after Seinfeld shared a gut feeling.

“I went, ‘I was thinking maybe this is our moment to make a good exit.’ We've had a lot of good fortune here. Maybe we shouldn't push our luck too far. And we all agreed that this was the right moment. And I remember it's the only time we all got together in a dressing room, the four of us, to make that decision. That was powerful, I remember that… I remember because as soon as we all agreed, that was it. You know, if the four of us agreed, I know it wasn't going to go further,” Seinfeld explained.

Seinfeld went on to explain a couple other tidbits about his beloved series during the presser, including how often he pulls up old episodes of the show. As it turns out, it’s not very often.

“I don't watch the show,” he said. “How often have you pulled out your high school yearbook?”

“Seinfeld” ran for nine seasons from 1989 to 1988. The series aired 180 episodes.

In September, Seinfeld returned to his fictional apartment from the series in a clip for Comedy Central in promotion of the series coming to the network in October.

And just in case you need even more ways to watch the reruns, the show is also available on Netflix starting today, Friday, Oct. 1.
