98.9 The Rock & The Johnny Dare Morning Show 2024 Easter Keg Hunt Official Contest Rules These contest rules are specific to the above contest conducted by Audacy Kansas, LLC d/b/a KQRC 98.9 The Rock! (collectively, the “Station”). Except to the extent specifically set forth below with respect to this specific contest, the Station’s general contest rules apply to this contest as well. A copy of these specific contest rules and the Station’s general contest rules are available on the contest page on the Station’s website at www.989therock.com/rules. As a preventative measure in light of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, copies of the specific contest rules and the Station’s general contest rules will not be available at the Station’s studio. To the extent the general contest rules differ from these rules, these rules will govern and control with respect to this contest. How to Enter 1. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win the Easter Keg Hunt (the “Contest”). A purchase or payment will not increase your chance of winning. You must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older to enter or win. 2. Before 6:00am (CT) on Friday, March 29, 2024 Station representatives will hide an actual (empty) keg with the Station logo on it (the “Easter Keg”) somewhere in the Station listening area. a. Easter Keg will NOT be hidden on any public or private roadways, or on private property such as Cemeteries, Golf Courses, businesses, people’s front yards, etc. b. Easter Keg will NOT be buried or attached to any man-made structure. It will be in plain sight when viewed from the proper angle. c. Station is not responsible for leaves, trash and/or other items that may cover Easter Keg due to weather and other uncontrollable circumstances. d. There is only one (1) Easter Keg in this Contest, and only the one (1) official Easter Keg will be accepted as the winning keg. 3. To participate, beginning at approximately 6:00am (CT) on Friday, March 29, 2024 and until either 10:00am (CT) on Friday, March 29, 2024 or the point at which the Easter Keg has been located and brought to the Station (whichever is soonest), listen to The Johnny Dare Morning Show on the Station for on-air clues as to where the Easter Keg is hidden. 4. Station will announce up to, but not more than, thirty (30) clues as to where the Easter Keg is hidden. a. Clues will be announced on-air and posted on the Dare Morning Show Facebook page ONLY at https://www.facebook.com/johnnydaremorningshow and will be posted immediately after they are announced on-air. b. STATION WILL NOT POST ANY CLUES ON ITS WEBSITE, PROVIDE A CLUES ON ANY OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM OR BY ANY OTHER ELECTRONIC MEANS, BUT MAY CHOOSE, AT ITS SOLE DISCRETION, TO REPEAT CLUES ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONTEST OVER THE TELEPHONE ON ANY OF THE STATION TELEPHONE NUMBERS. c. STATION HAS NO OBLIGATION, LIABILITY, OR RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER IF INDIVIDUALS WHO DO NOT LISTEN TO THE STATION RECEIVE CONTEST CLUES FROM THIRD PARTIES SUCH AS OTHER LISTENERS. AUD: 142734_1 d. WARNING! ONLINE LISTENERS TO STREAMED BROADCASTS MAY EXPERIENCE A LAG IN TRANSMISSIONS DUE TO BUFFERING LIMITATIONS. CONTEST CONTESTANTS SHOULD NOT RELY ON STREAMED BROADCASTS. 5. No trespassing and/or destruction of private or public property are necessary to find the Easter Keg. No risk-taking is required to locate the Easter Keg. Station is not responsible in any way for the acts of contestants. Contestants must comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations. ANY CONTESTANT(S) WHO STATION DETERMINES HAS OR MAY HAVE BROKEN ANY FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAW AS PART OF PARTICIPATING IN THIS CONTEST WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED. Contestants must not harm or endanger themselves or other persons or property. Any contestant that Station determines may have created a public hazard, caused interference with or destruction of property and/or utilized public safety resources will be disqualified. 6. Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any contestant who has cheated, failed to provide the one (1) original Easter Keg, or any other suspected fraudulent activity. 7. Although forming a team of contestants is encouraged for fun, it is not required to formerly register a team to participate in the Contest. If a team consisting of two (2) or more contestants are deemed the winners in this Contest, only one (1) individual who participated on the team, returns the Easter Keg to the Station, and is willing to sign the required winner paperwork and provide documentation as the sole winner of the Contest, will be able to claim the prize in this Contest. How to Win 8. The first contestant(s) to successfully locate the Easter Keg, follow the attached instructions and brings it to the Station’s studio at 7000 Squibb Road, Mission, KS 66202 no later than 12:00pm (CT) on Friday, March 29, 2024, subject to confirmation of eligibility and compliance with these Contest rules, will be the one (1) “Winner” of this Contest. a. In the event that no contestant locates Easter Keg, or in the event that a contestant who does locate Easter Keg fails to bring it to the Station’s studio by 12:00pm (CT) on Friday, March 29, 2024, this Contest will end and no Prize will be awarded. b. Only one (1) person (if any) will be recognized as the Winner of this Contest. The Prize will not be awarded (if at all) to a team or group of individuals. c. The Prize in this Contest will only be awarded to the one (1) person who physically possesses the Easter Keg and brings it to the Station by not later than 12pm (CT) on Friday, March 29, 2024, subject to confirmation of eligibility and compliance with these Contest rules. d. In the event there is a dispute over which one (1) individual properly possesses the Easter Keg (as determined in Station’s sole discretion), Station reserves the right (but is not obligated) to not award the Prize. Prize(s) 9. The one (1) verified Winner in this Contest will receive the one (1) Prize consisting of: (i) ten (10) tickets to WWE Monday Night Raw on Monday, April 29, 2024 at the T-Mobile Center, valued at $56.00.00 a ticket, and courtesy of WWE; (ii) one (1) $500 Harry’s Wine, Beer, and Liquor gift card redeemable for products at any of the Harry’s Wine, Beer, and Liquor stores in the Greater Kansas City area located here: www.harrysliquor.com/locations/, expires April 1, 2025, courtesy of Harry’s Wine, Beer, and Liquor; and (iii) a Budweiser prize AUD: 142734_1 pack including one (1) Budweiser branded 52 quart Igloo cooler and various Budweiser promotional paraphernalia (e.g. t-shirt, hat, koozie), valued at $250 and courtesy of Budweiser (collectively, the “Prize”). Total Prize valued at $1,310.00. 10. Redeeming and using portions of the Prize in this contest requires the Winner (i) to have a valid email address and an app-enabled mobile device capable of downloading and running a third-party mobile ticketing app (e.g., Ticketmaster, AXS, MLB, etc.); (ii) to install, or have already installed, such mobile ticketing app on their app-enabled mobile device; and (iii) to login into an existing user account or to sign up for a free user account with the third-party operating such mobile ticketing app by completing a form with all required information, including at a minimum first name, last name, and valid email address. CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE PRIZE IN THIS CONTEST CANNOT BE REDEEMED OR USED BY ANY MEANS OTHER THAN THE DESIGNATED THIRD-PARTY MOBILE TICKETING APP FOR THIS PRIZE. INDIVIDUALS WHO DO NOT HAVE A VALID EMAIL ADDRESS, ACCESS TO AN APP-ENABLED MOBILE DEVICE, AND/OR DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE FOREGOING REQUIREMENTS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REDEEM OR USE A PORTION OF THE PRIZE IN THIS CONTEST SHOULD THEY BE SELECTED AND VERIFIED AS A WINNER, WILL NOT RECEIVE A SUBSTITUTE PRIZE, AND SHOULD NOT ENTER THIS CONTEST. 11. The Winner and any guest(s), if applicable, must comply with any and all COVID-19 vaccination, screening, testing, safety, and related requirements imposed or required by (if applicable) the Station, the venue, event promoter, sponsors, travel providers, hotels, governmental authorities or others in connection with the receipt, use, and redemption of the Prize. Refusal to comply with all applicable COVID-19 requirements will result in forfeiture of the Prize and no replacement or alternate prize will be provided. All cancellations are deemed beyond the control of the Station and its sponsors. This includes, but is not limited to, event cancellations due to any pandemic or epidemic constituting a public health emergency, including those subject to government-mandated quarantines, travel restrictions, or stay-at-home orders. The Station and/or its sponsors shall in no way be responsible under any circumstances whatsoever for replacing, and/or for reimbursing any winner(s) with any form of compensation for, any prize(s) or portion(s) thereof forfeited due to the refusal of the winner(s) and/or their guest(s) to comply with all applicable COVID-19 requirements and/the cancellation of any event, nor will any alternate Prize(s) be provided. 12. Prize must be picked up in-person by 3:00pm (CT) on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Station’s studio located at 7000 Squibb Road, Mission, KS 66202. Sponsor(s) 13. This Contest is a Contest of skill and does not involve any element of chance and, accordingly, odds of winning are not applicable.
