The investigation took over two-and-a-half years! Multiple arrests have been made in an Upstate drug bust that law enforcement are calling, "The Promoter".
Eight people have been arrested suspected of trafficking 61 kilos of cocaine to Upstate South Carolina.
According to Sheriff's Deputies, the name of the investigation was coined because some of the defendants had been working as promoters in the local music industry.
The Sheriff's Office says that a ninth suspect, Trenton Michael Thomas from Seneca, is still wanted by law enforcement on charges of conspiracy to traffic cocaine greater than 400 grams, plus distribution of crack and marijuana.
