With school starting back and fall quickly approaching, many Upstate residents look forward to visiting local farms and fruit picking.
One of the best ways to discover farms in the Upstate is through the South Carolina Agritourism Passport Program. Pick up a "passport" at any of the participating farms and collect stamps.
As stamps are collected, passport holders can win Certified South Carolina items, but the real fun is visiting the farms and learning about the Palmetto State.
The SC Agritourism Passport Program started in January of 2016 with 44 farms participating in the program. Three years later, the program is still going strong; over 50 farms are a part of the 2019 passport program.
