An electrical short might have sparked a fire on the roof of a downtown Greenville restaurant late Thursday morning.
Coffee Street was closed at North Main while firefighters investigated.
A Water Department employee spotted the fire and warned the owners of the Handi Indian restaurant, the only people in the building at the time.
There were no injuries.
