The South Carolina Highway Patrol said an arrest has been made stemming from a fatal hit-and-run that happened last year.
Authorities said the crash happened on Houston Rice Road in November of 2018.
Arturo Beatriz, 35, of Seneca, was arrested Saturday for fleeing the accident that resulted in the death of 94-year-old Dale Howard Showers.
Showers was hit after visiting his wife at Seneca Health and Rehabilitation. He was hospitalized before passing away about a week later.
Beatriz has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident with death and driving without a license.
