(Seneca, SC)--The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Seneca man on a Fugitive from Justice charge after responding to reports of a fight on the Utica Mill Hill early Thursday morning.
28 year old Patrick David Griffis of Gammell Street was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 7:41am Thursday.
Griffis was also charged with Breach of Peace.
The Fugitive from Justice warrant against Griffis states that he is a fugitive from the state of Alabama having committed the offense of Escape – 1st Degree.
Also arrested during the same incident was 22 year old Alyssa Carlie Springs of Seneca on a charge of Public Disorderly Conduct.
Springs was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 11:38am Thursday.
Deputies were dispatched around 5:48am Thursday to reports of a fight between a white male and a white female on Gammell Street.
According to the incident report, the altercation was physical as well as verbal between the two parties.
When deputies arrived on scene, they located the two parties on Gammell Street on the porch of a residence.
As the investigation continued, Griffis attempted to flee on foot but was placed in custody.
During this time, Griffis was causing a very loud disturbance, according to deputies.
As Griffis was being placed in custody, Springs began yelling, using profanities, and causing a disruption in the middle of the road, according to deputies.
Both individuals were placed under arrest and transported to the Detention Center.
Springs was released from the Detention Center Thursday afternoon on a $257.50 personal recognizance bond.
Griffis was given a $1,087.50 personal recognizance bond on the Breach of Peace charge, however, he was denied bond on the Fugitive from Justice charge.
Bond will be set for that charge by a Circuit Court Judge.
