FOUR CHARGED WITH HOMICIDE BY CHILD A USE IN DEATH OF TWO-YEAR-OLD
Anderson, SC (27 April 2020, 6:25 p.m. EDT) – The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Centerville Road in Anderson on February 13, 2020 in regards to an infant death.
Three adults and one juvenile were originally arrested and charged with Unlawful Child Neglect.
During the on-going investigation, evidence was gathered that led ACSO Detectives to charge Chasya L Gilbody, Thomas L Roberts, Dylan M McAlister and a 17-year-old with Homicide By Child Abuse in the death of the two-year-old.
The defendants have been arrested and are currently being detained at the Anderson County Detention Center.

ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — The parents of a 2-year-old girl found dead in a South Carolina home have been charged with neglect after authorities said she was found with a full diaper and bruises.
More charges against the parents, a third adult in the home and a juvenile are likely after investigators review findings of an autopsy on the child, who appeared to have been dead for at least a day before paramedics were called Thursday night, Anderson County Sheriff Chad McBride said.
Anastasia Wynter McAlister had been neglected for nearly a month with severe bruising on her head, severe diaper rash and a large amount of human waste in her diaper, according to arrest warrants.
A 3-year-old boy and a 3-month-old girl were also found alive in the home suffering from similar neglect, McBride told media outlets.
The sheriff called it one of the worst neglect cases he has ever seen.
The parents of the three children, Chasya Love Gilbody and Dylan Michael Mcalister are charged with three counts of unlawful neglect of a child. A third adult, Thomas Lloyd Roberts, is charged with two counts of unlawful neglect of a child. A juvenile is also charged.
