He was an old man when he died – well, at least by pig standards.
The popular pot-bellied pig Ozzie, who had lived at the Greenville County Zoo since the year 2000, has passed away.
This news comes according to the Greenville Zoo’s official Twitter account on Tuesday.
Ozzie lived to the ripe old age of 19, making him an elder statesmen, given that most pot-bellied pigs live 12 to 15 years.
“One of the hardest parts of working with animals is watching them pass,” the zoo’s announcement read. “Ozzie has been a part of our family.”
