Hot Pursuit; Chase Crosses County Lines

Greenville County Deputies were called to assist Laurens County Deputies around 6:15pm last evening when a pursuit crossed the county line.  

Laurens County Sheriff's deputies were pursuing a vehicle whose driver had attempted to assault a deputy and was fleeing from their units.

Greenville County deputies joined the pursuit near the Moonville area and continued down White Horse Road. 

At the intersection of Hwy 253, the suspect struck at least one civilian's vehicle not involved in the pursuit.

The suspect then jump out and fled on foot before he was ultimately apprehended near the McDonalds at White horse Road/W. Blue Ridge Drive. 

No deputies were injured, however the suspect and three civilians who were involved as innocent parties in the collision, were taken to a hospital.

The suspect is facing charges for Failure to Stop for Blue Lights and Resisting Arrest, additional charges are expected from the Laurens County Sheriff's Office. 

The suspect's information is not yet available.
