A Spartanburg County crash has proved fatal nine days after the accident.
Highway Patrol Trooper Joe Hovis reports the crash happened on I-26 near Cross Anchor Road around 8:30 AM on April 18th.
A freightliner tractor pulling a trailer and a 2005 Pontiac were both headed east on I-26 when the tractor slowed along with the traffic.
The Pontiac hit the tractor trailer in the rear.
The driver of the tractor trailer and its only passenger were both seatbelted and uninjured.
The driver of the Pontiac was unseatbelted, injured, and taken to Spartanburg Medical Center.
They died at the hospital on April 27th, approximately nine days after the accident.
