The City of Westminster says local residents should expect to lose power on Saturday night, June 1st, starting around 11pm. The Oconee County city will begin servicing three transformers serving the "low voltage" portion of the city's system. They say this work is necessary to maintain the reliability of this section of the electrical distribution system.
Workers are expecting the outage to last up to 6 hours and will try to keep it as brief as possible. Hopefully, by the time you wake up Sunday morning, power will be back on.
