Greenville County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Enoree Career Center yesterday after school administrators received a report that a student had a weapon inside her vehicle. Law enforcement searched the vehicle and found a gun inside the locked glove box. The student did not take the gun out of the vehicle and did not make any threats toward the school or the students who attend. The student has been recommended for expulsion.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office has made a statement as well:
“Greenville County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Enoree Career Center yesterday after school administrators received a report that a student had a weapon inside her vehicle. Law enforcement searched the vehicle and found a gun inside the locked glove box. The student did not take the gun out of the vehicle and did not make any threats toward the school or the students who attend.
Greenville County Schools do not allow weapons anywhere on school property. We have suspended the student and recommended her for expulsion. We are grateful to the people who came forward to report their suspicions and allowed us to take quick action.”
